We worked in our spare time because we just enjoyed the process.
After a while, we were lucky and good enough to professionalize and win some localization contracts for Czech game distributors. We put our efforts into hundreds of game titles that entertained a whole generation of gamers. The “flow” from our beginnings has not been lost as it is still the foundation of our work. We want to continue to bring it to the world of games and applications.
We want to be your Localizarium, your well-oiled localization machine with perfect gears to produce a top result. As the nerds who run the machine we know what we are doing, we know what questions to ask, we know how to handle the variables or resolve gender and terminology issues. It would be hard to follow the same path and gain the same amount of experience that we have. We invite you to put your project into our human translation machine!
Since I enjoy doing a lot of things, I had to let go of many of them. One thing is for sure, my passion for video game translations will never fade! I wish everyone could experience the flow I get into when I work on them. I am a dual class translator/alchemist and I once completed a potion and meds crafting side quest in pharmaceutics. This helped me develop a critical thinking skill and a technical mindset. If there is ever a need to translate an alchemy book in a game, I am ready! My RPG character relies more on intelligence than strength.
With Michal we have been working together for a long time so we support each other when needed. I am the more talkative one, but we both work like our lives depend on it, because they kind of do.
Our portfolios put together consist of hundreds of titles. You would be hard pressed to find that much XP in our niche.
Passionate gamer with an IT background and a soft spot for board games who translates into Czech for a living.
Twenty years ago, I really wanted to be a part of the video game industry. I tried translating them and never looked back. Later, I decided to make it official and become a state-certified English-Czech translator to make Mom proud.
During my career, I have worked for Czech and foreign translation agencies, game distributors and direct clients, helping them translate dozens of PC, console and mobile games. I promise that you know them but #translatorsincredits needs to gain more traction first.
I type fast, never let clients down and change everything so that the meaning does not have to change.
